As difficult as it is, as the wrath comes over us, and as much as we want to be in that space, we do have another choice.
Yes, it is saddening and disappointing to think that a lot of this country is in a state of being that is not of one, love and kindness for all. And while running away to Canada seems like the right thing to do, we can stay and use our power of change. If we can find a space for acceptance, like she did, then we can show those who find it hard to see that love and kindness for all is a possibility.
Be sad, honor that, accept our circumstance and make a choice. Observe, watch the anger. Be open, ask your mind why it goes there. Keep loving, being kind and trust that that will shine on... eventually.
And if that's still hard, here is some perspective I can offer you: Today marks the first day of many that we can say we are one day closer to him not being president. Fifty percent-ish of America is looking for love and kindness too. That is hope. We can withstand this. We will shine on and this is the journey there. As of present, we have checks & balances, and that should make for a much more mild four years than it seems.
Running is quitting, angry expressions is quitting. Being the change is winning the fight for love and kindness for all.
